Would they if they could?

talking with kris chipps today (didn't know you'd end up as part of a blog entry, did you kris?) :) and the ongoing issue of how to get content from teens .... they're a busy group of people who spend their time studying, and doing teen things toward their pursuit of happiness...... it occured to me since they have cell phones in their hands 24/7 that allowing them to text message content to us would be a sure-fire way of getting content?

just saw a movie - text us to tell us about it? just eaten at a great restaurant? just finished the best book of your life?

kris, being the great reference librarian she is, researched if this was possible and found a link to an article - it seems the technology isn't quite there yet.

do you think teens would be more engaged if they could text message us? or do we just need to get the word out that we want your content, your angst, your input, your thoughts - in email?
